It is a requirement that each athlete have a membership to USRowing. This is separate from joining CJRC and must be done by the athlete or parent on behalf of the athlete. This membership must be up to date in order to race in various regattas. We encourage you to join USRowing now so that you do not forget.

The membership is for YOUR ATHLETE. Please make sure to join as your athlete if you are joining for them. We strongly advise that they have their own email address for this membership. If they stay with rowing, this will be their membership beyond middle and high school. You may also need to join USRowing as a board member or volunteer at some point and will need your own email address for your membership.

To join USRowing follow these steps:

• Go to www.USRowing.org
• Click on "member portal" 
• Click on "join" under individual
• Fill out your athlete's information
  • Please make sure to list their birth date correctly. Most errors we receive are for incorrect birth dates.
  • You must be linked to our club. To do so, type Cooper Junior Rowing Club.
  • On the next page you will need a club code. 
    • Club Code: BB7NY
  • Select the Championship Package. You need this in order for your athlete to row competitively.
  • Complete remaining steps and pay.
